Constitution Day debate, "Affirmative Action before the Supreme Court"
Affirmative Action before the Supreme Court: A Debate in Celebration of Constitution Day. This Fall the Supreme Court will hear arguments in the companion cases, Students For Fair Admissions v. Harvard and Students For Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina. Both cases raise the question of whether colleges and universities can consider race as a factor in admissions. Join us for a debate featuring two of the nation’s leading voices on this issue: Richard H. Sander, Jesse Dukeminier Professor of Law, UCLA, and author (with Stuart Taylor) of Mismatch: How Affirmative Action Hurts Students It’s Intended to Help, and Why Universities Won’t Admit It and Randall L. Kennedy, Michael R. Klein Professor of Law, Harvard University, and author of For Discrimination: Race, Affirmative Action, and the Law.
