This session launches The Palgrave Handbook of Testimony and Culture with a panel discussion of its contribution to research and practice. There will be brief presentations on the origins and outcomes of the Testimony project (Roger Woods), collaboration between researchers and practitioners (Emilie Pine), the impact of research beyond academia as an ever more significant factor for research funding councils (Sara Jones), and the use of testimony in teaching (Fransiska Louwagie). Handbook authors and other participants to comment on these issues. Emily Russell from Palgrave Macmillan will be joining the session to give a publisher’s perspective on the project and on related projects that would be of interest to Palgrave.
Sara Jones (Co-Editor) is Professor of Modern Languages at the University of Birmingham, UK.
